REBOLLIDO LLC helps organizations plan, design, align, and support AV (Audio Visual) environments with greater clarity and stronger long-term outcomes.

A big part of better AV is understanding what a space may look and sound like before technology goes in. That includes the psychology of collaboration, how people see, hear, focus, communicate, and work together inside a room. It also means thinking through acoustics, layout, lighting, field of view, support readiness, and how the environment will function long before the display, camera, or microphone is selected.

Too often, AV is brought in at the back end of a project, after major decisions have already been made. By then, planning is late, infrastructure may be incomplete, and the people responsible for IT or Workplace support are often left trying to inherit spaces that were never fully aligned with business needs, support expectations, or IT and ITIL-minded operating practices.

One example I often use is the traffic light. Most of us recognize that the infrastructure has not changed much since we were children. The conduit, power, signaling junction boxes, and pathways are still there. What has changed is the technology around them: LED lights, crosswalk timers, audible cues, cameras, no-turn-on-red controls, and smarter signaling behavior.

Conference rooms should be treated more like that.

If businesses build better AV infrastructure, standards, pathways, power, data, and support thinking into regular practice, rooms become easier to upgrade as technology changes over time.
